In ancient kingdom of Anuradapura, there are many ruins of historically valuable creations still there. the kings who ruled Anuradapura dedicated them in creating lot of unbilievable creations to us. As one of the such creation is the stone bridge,namely "Galpalama", acroos Malwatu Oya situated about 8 km away from Anuradapura town.

Now the Archaeology department has announced its as a ancient property. As you look at the name board it's be like a place abbonden.We cant imagine such things that means how they cut the stone as it is and how could they built a such creation. Its still being a wonder!



What a creation it was. I forget to tell another thing , the creator of this creation has not published yet. Look at the wiev at the river side.






As you can see its half side has brokenup and fallen down into theriver.But in my point of view I think most of the people dont know about such creation unfortunately. Look at this now...


I dot have words to express the beauty of this creation. Just I can imagine how those people could do such things and we cant do these????????

I have little bit of interests in photography. For that reason please dont get the idea that I have a professional camera. It is not. These pictures were captured using my mobile phone's 2.0MP camera most of the time. One or two of them using a digital camera with 7.2MP . 1. Firstly I would welcome me for blogging after quite a long time. I haven't thought about this post until I read Andrew Fernando's article about Sri Lanka's 250th test in Cricinfo. Actually it induced me to think a bit about Sri Lanka's test journey and its achievement on this special occasion because of the passion towards cricket specially towards Sri Lanka's cricket.  Sri Lanka made the first appearance in test cricket on 17th of February 1982 in Colombo against England in which Sri Lanka lost the match by 7 wickets.  The second test against Australia in Galle during 2016/17 season is their 250th test appearance which implies it took 34 years for them to play their 250th test match on 4th of August 2016. Perhaps this match was the 253rd test match for Sri Lanka officially  but due to the cancellation of 3 matches during the period, effectively this became as the 250th test match.
